Let it Snow

It's week 3 of Winter Wonderland and I have finely manged to do a card, I used ;
Thomas Kinkade stamp
Versa fine ink
Sukura pens
Glitter glue
Snowflake rub on's
Ribbon
Blue card

Here is a close up of the cottage with snow and the windows in light. You can just about make out the snow in the sky coming down, a thin plume of smoke coming out of the chimney making it cozy for the inhabitants unside, an open fire sound great.

My quilt blocks

This one is called Maple Leaf which is hand stitched.
A Trip Around the World, the centre square represents the world, this one was machine stitched.

This one is also machine stitched and is called Rail Fence.

This one is hand stitched and is called Tumbling Blocks.
This week I bought 3 more fabrics as I felt the quilt will need more colour, the colours will make it more of a country colour mix.
Today I will rest from quilting and do some stamping although there is plenty of ironing but I am not in the mood, I really want to put somthing in for the Winter Wonderland challenge.

I used my nesties and still working them out.

Here is a saying I got to go with Tilda to, do you notice the butterfly! That was something I picked up in my Creativity mag.

Next week there is a nice stamp I have ordered, it will make you hungry, so check back later.

Double pocket bags

Here are the 3 together.
On this card I have used the spellbinders nesties on a card coordination white wash range that has just come out. the card has been embossed using a sissix plate then the raised area is rubbed down with a light sand paper for the blue colour behind the white to come out. I have stamped the message straight onto the card.

Gardening Tilda from the Magnolia range

Used here is a Messy Rabbit stamp from Joanna Sheen range.

Here are some double pocket bags I have made, the tutorial is at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/.
The difference I did was to use eyelets to secure the ribbon.

Another Magnolia

Here is a card that I have made for a birthday, I have used paper's from K & Co in the raspberry ripple range, I punched the flower from my daisy punches and stamped the message onto the paper. I have used Spellbinders nesties for the frame.

Backpack

Got this template from splitcoast, managed to do this in one evening, the only problem I have is keeping the little magnets stuck on the card, may have to think of another idea.
Side view with shoulder straps.

Even a hoop that you would hang a backpack up.
The instruction called for 2 sheets of 12 x12 card, but I managed to do this on A4 card., I used eyelets and 1/4 width ribbon for the front.

Card for a boy

This is the finished product, I used the embellishments from some clothes my son bought.
Here is a close up.

This is the inside, I put a tag behind the back page as a secret compartment.

Card/ Scrapbook

The inside opens up with little surprises where you can put photos, gift card even just verses.
I might try and teach this at our craft group.

Here is a project I made from another I did with my friends, we had a girlie night to celebrate our birthday's, plus tea and cake.

Magnolia Card

I used a background paper from the Messy Rabbit range, I have a few of the Rabbits buts still working on them. The background paper was mounted on navy cardstock, then with a lilac ribbon underneath onto a lilac card, I used the PC for the verse inside.

Colour Throwdown # 36

I need to work on my camera more, I find it hard to take close ups without losing the rest of the work.

The background to the stamp I used water colours from my inks, I edged the flower petals with green chalk ink. Her wings are coloured with a silver glitter pen. The stamp I used generals chalk pencils.
I used pink card, free papers I had kept from a card magazine, and magnolia stamp, punch flowers and orange ribbon.

Here is this week's colour throwdown, I like these colours.

Scrap Pages

The boy's got one main gift, they noticed the amout of parcels are getting smaller, but they don't notice that it is getting more expensive. Julio got an accustic guitar, Ricky a DS Light and Reuben a mobile phone.
Julio got me this Nativity, we have always wanted one but could not find one we liked, I know have the 3 wise men, which I got in the sales, so you will have to wait till Christmas to see them, all I need know is a stable.

Trimmings, well I had a go at cooking an Jamie Oliver christmas dinner while having the flu, was not able to make it to church that morning, shame I do like the christmas service.

Ricky bought me a cook book, and I got an Ipod, earings and a necklace from my honey, Julio got a nice cardigan which are back in fashion. Plus we all had a few other things which I did not scrap, photo's of me looked terible with the cold.

I will show some of more of my other pages later.
No-one can eat at the table as I have taken over, I find it very hard to scrap with having mostly males in the house.

Colour Throwdown #31

I had a go at Colour Throwdown, my first time, the colours were navy, light blue and kiwi green.
I did the angel in water colours, I wished now I did her t-shirt in a lighter colour as there is alot of green. Photo is a little of centre and I had my glasses on, I'm one of those who chop heads and legs off must be my eye site.

Here is a close up, I used a glitter gel pen on her wings, t-shirt and shoes.
